Regarding the issue that you mention of who can best take care of / display the artefacts, this is an argument that was used a lot in the past, but as the New Acropolis Museum project progressed, has gradually been dropped by the British Museum from their list of reasons for retention.</description>

For example the british museum states that it is against the return of the Elgin marbles because Britan can best mainatin those artefacts. What makes the British museum so different to the Newly opened Greek museum near the Acropolise?</description>
