Acropolis Museum Celebrates International Museum Day

There will be concerts and free entrance for everyone at the Acropolis Museum to celebrate the International Museum Day and the European Night of Museums.

Friday, May 18 at 11 pm, on the second floor of the Museum, Marios Strofalis will play solo piano. His recital will be dedicated to famous Greek composers Manos Hadjidakis and Mikis Theodorakis.

Earlier the same day, the Marios Strofalis quartet will perform European songs.

The Museum will introduce the sale of some of their sculptures’ replicas. Remembrance coins, illustrating favorite exhibits, will also be made.

The entrance will be free from 8am-10pm, and the restaurant will remain open until midnight.

Acropolis Museum will also be open until midnight on Saturday, May 19. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit free of charge and celebrate, along with the symphony orchesta of Athens Municipality, the European Night of Museums.
