Bernard Tschumi [1], one of the two designers of the New Acropolis Museum (along with Michael Photiadis [2]) is to give a talk this coming Tuesday at the RIBA [3] in London on the New Acropolis Museum [4]. Tickets must be booked in advance as space is limited. There is also a second talk for students on the morning of the day after.

LondonThe Hellenic Foundation for Culture and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) present the London preview of the New Acropolis Museum, scheduled to open in Spring 2009, on 2 & 3 December 2008, at RIBA’s Jarvis Hall in London. The events are organized under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture with the support of the Organisation for Construction of the New Acropolis Museum.

Lectures by Professor Dimitrios Pandermalis, President of the Project Authority, the Organisation for Construction of the New Acropolis Museum and Bernard Tschumi, Lead Architect of the New Acropolis Museum, who will present the Museum in its near-completed state. A special presentation for architectural students by B.Tschumi and D.Pandermalis. They will present the challenges of constructing on a site of major archaeological interest.The events follow the presentation “A Museum for the Future” organised by the Hellenic Foundation for Culture and the RIBA with the same speakers in 2003 about the Museum whose construction was about to begin.
